Throughout the holidays and certain days like Christmas Eve and New Years Eve emergency responders and dispatchers can get some of the silliest calls of the year. And just last weekend on Christmas Even in the United Kingdom an unnamed caller called the 999 emergency number and got the dispatcher laughing so hard when they complained about there toilet being blocked. The caller went on to demand the dispatcher needed to send someone out immediately to unblock the toilet. One of the major contributing factors is drunk callers calling 999 and not having thoughts together when calling. Other people have been known to abuse the 999 emergency number when they are able to drive themselves to the hospital instead of needing luxury ride in an ambulance. Also senior citizens often call throughout the year services like 999 and 911 in the United States to have someone just to talk to as many do not often see anyone or have many people to talk to throughout there day.
